Ha ha funnily enough it was a corner house, not sure about baby though, I didn't hear any crying.DGP1 wrote:Was his a corner house? Posted a letter to a Mr Patrick Swayze, somehow I find it hard to believe that's his real name though.
I hate myself for knowing that reference

Busy. Did some parcels after my delivery. Tricky area to cover but did quite well and got back just before the office shut. Weather was good today with blue skies and quite warm.

"Normal" Monday, few people off, rained for a very short time. There’s talk that at the start of the new financial year every one must start at their correct time, anyone else heard this. This is stressing out the runners in the office.

Not heard that 1. Anyway it will never work. There will always be those who disappear up their own arses just to save a few minutes. They then moan when the gaffers mention lapsing. Don't let fishtank read this, he might get paranoid. I've been laughed at once or twice myself for this same practice. (Do mine on a Sunday)Twitch wrote:Cleaned the fish tanks out, been shopping..

Re: The "How was your day" thread.
Day 3 of of my life as "postie-without-a-contract" as I haven't receieved the latest 3 month extension, but I have been assured that there is one (lost in the post maybe?).
The second DSA delivery brought a mass mailing for a certain large supermarket courtesy of UKMail (spit). My observations on it were that my address received one despite being registered with the MPS. The house over the road got one addressed to the woman that moved out about 5 years ago. One place I delivered to got one for Mrs A Smith, one for Mrs Amanda Smith, one for Amanda Smith and one for Mr B Smith (names changed to protect the innocent). Thanks UKMail - did you tell the supermarket how old the mailing list was???? Out delivering and it was local free paper day again, so I had to push a load of those through again in order to do the mail.
Happy days
