Am pleased it isn't just me who is finding it heavy this week - I thought after a week off I was just struggling!!!

Soooooooooooo, another fairly heavy day - and I am still having to push the local free paper through letterboxes for places I didn't go to yesterday. All flipping hell would break loose if I left mail sticking out like the freebie paper deliverererererer does. Still, its been nice to add 6 D2Ds to the leaflets that are with the paper!

Strange week. Monday was heaviest day this week so far. Last two days have been easy. Can't quite work it out.

Classic today...Ring Ring...Me ..."Hello, Royal Mail"...
Lady...I want to complain about a postman...he's put a parcel under my table in the garden and left the gate open, and my dogs have gotten out."
Me..." I'm sorry to hear that, but where are you calling from?"
Lady..."I'm in" ( name withheld...but South East England.)
Me..."Oh, well in that case you'd better phone customer services...you've come through to a North Wales office..."

LO Bloody L !!!!

Not too bad today, but got back to the office to find they've installed the new backless IPS frames. We can't cover all the rounds in our office most days, so who are these spare porters who are going to collect mail from IPS and put it on the fittings? How come there's an unlimited amount of money available for this kind of nonsense, but not enough to pay for an adequate number of staff?

Cold, wet and windy

Generally a shitte day..

First told by the lino I wasn't delivering all the D2D's and it's impossible to have any left over...
So he said load the left overs and double up, also with last weeks which would of made 14 D2D's per drop. So I bundled up and went out with the correct amount, and delivered the correct amount.

Then never got all me overtime paid.. Lino's answer "we don't usually pay for the afternoons as you finish early on Mondays and Tuesdays" Fat chance as my rotating day off seems always to be Tuesdays.. So yes I finished early as I didn't even start :arrrghhh

Then can I work my day off... lol..

Ummmmm NO

Work to rule next week me thinks..

Anyhows rant over

:Very Happy

You did the right thing not doubling up on D2D's and your lino is out of order for telling you that.. As for the OT there's no such thing as long and shorts you do the overtime you should get paid for it..If not !!!, work to rule sounds like a plan to me !! :Applause .

Easy day compared to yesterday, weather was kind to me. A really calm person nearly lost the plot yesterday, not a happy office. More changes coming at the start of new financial year, going to wait and see what happens, something is going to give.

we've had those frames for at least a year, and (not joking) i've NEVER seen anyone remove mail from the rear of them, the space behind is kept for empty yorks and the following weeks D2D's.

Very light day, out early & back early, but on the downside my partner got bitten by a dog and was blood everywhere, he's ok though and didn't need any treatment.
