It tenderises it for steaks/burgers.

Put some letters through someones door today then moved on down the road, a few minutes later the guy who lives there comes running up to me waving a P739 card saying' you didn't even knock on the door'. I replied, 'You are right, I didn't knock on your door at all. I put that card through your door yesterday....twerp'.

Busy again. Loads of National Trust mags. Been told to clear them by Saturday. Went through mine and took where I was going. Fished out 4 or 5 miss sorts for places I used to deliver to, prior to walk changes. From 4 absolutely rammed boxes I'm now down to about half a box. I know from experience there will be plenty of miss sorts flying round on Saturday because people don't bother until the last minute. Cannot understand why people don't make things a bit easier for themselves and others.

Because, for the most part, we have 'managers' who have no idea of how to man manage.

Just sayin' it as I see it..

40 mins over, dry day, got home and had to unblock waste drain where it empties in to main sewage pipe before I got changed. I got covered in it. Just like being back at work. :nana :nana :nana

Really busy - my usual partner (who's FT) was off sick today so walk not fully prepped when I got in. Consequently, we didn't get out till 11am! Explained to gaffer I was on school run so needed to finish at 3. Unbelievably, without asking, agreed to take a loop off us and a couple of big packets! :thumbup

Had to blast round walks with barely a break, just a quick wee stop and a drink but we finished on time and now coming in early tomorrow (paid) to sort walks out so we can get out earlier and finish on time!

Was sposed to do "1/2" a round that was left behind. Don't think some people did Geometry in their school!
1 and 3/4 of the frame was taken out, with 2 and 1/4 left for me....
Part taken out is mostly Terraced house streets... easy peasy. What was left for me were long icy drives, icy steps up/down gated gardens.
Oh well, coulda be worse, coulda been snowing.
Oh, it was...

My last day learning a delivery/collections route before providing holiday cover from tomorrow . Many many miles, 4 ferries but as ever fantastic scenery when the lights up. nothing too exciting wildlife wise as the sea was up but four red breasted mergansas were Bonny enough . Plenty rain the day and made me happy I'm not delivering hundreds of packets on a walking duty now.
roll on 03:50 alarm clock.

Freezing cold all day. Got battered with National Trust and Caravan Club mags.
Most of paths covered in frozen snow or black ice. One of my spikeys disintegrated making it "interesting" on the last bag.Ended up 45 mins over.
On the plus side we all got a free pizza voucher for Dominoes from our manager as a thank you for our efforts this week. Not much but still a nice gesture.
