Re: possible new health issues with lwt
Any chiropractor could have told Royal Mail or the CWU that pulling or pushing a LWT for 4to5 hours a day 5 days a week would have significant impact on the muscular skeletal framework of the body. Every month I go to a chiropractor to have adjustments done because of the strain this work has on one side of my body. Each time before adjustment, one leg appears shorter than the other, purely because of the way my pelvis has tipped to try and compensate for the strain on the other side. If I did not have these adjustments I would not be working as a postman now. When the muscles on one side of the body are working harder than the other, the results are problems in the lower back, the neck and shoulder muscles, the hips, and legs. Royal Mail or CWU have failed to provide any meaningful health and safety consultation with specialists prior to the implementation, all we get is WEIGHT OFF THE SHOULDERS, just because a bag is no longer being carried. This is going to come back and bite them badly.

Sounds just like me, worth every pound, or else I would not be working. Sort it out RM trolleys are not the way.Lincox wrote:Any chiropractor could have told Royal Mail or the CWU that pulling or pushing a LWT for 4to5 hours a day 5 days a week would have significant impact on the muscular skeletal framework of the body.
