Can I collect my mail from delivery office if Royal Mail cannot deliver it due to weather conditions making my steps unsafe? If so, what do I need to take with me when I collect please?

It's not an automatic right but if you approach the staff politely and it's not very busy they might help get the mail for you. You'll need a photographc type ID, licence Passport etc, and a recent utility bill as proof of address.
My advice though is unless its urgent then wait it out, it's going to very busy at most callers offices and with the weather improving by the end of the week, most unit should be back on schedule by Friday at the latest.

Many thanks for that. I take your point and will try and wait until the weather improves! I realise postmen need to be safe but at the same time I'm running a small mail order business from home and need to keep MY customers happy as well!

Why not put salt on your steps and make them safer
