Ultimately the decision to go out on delivery or stay out on delivery is yours.
If you feel the conditions are too dangerous and your health and safety is at risk you stop delivering.
No matter what any tool or download says.

Very good point, at the end of the day its up to yourself to make the decision on anything, too often in history people have said "I just obeyed orders". If you know something is wrong or dangerous you do not need a piece of paper to tell you not to do it. Yes there will be a consequence for not doing it, but thats about taking control of your life and not be herded about like a farm animal.

There isn't a more up to date one freely available.
There was supposed to be an online version for H&S reps to use but i don't think that happened.
It wouldn't matter anyway,it's just a spreadsheet and doesn't give a definitive answer as to whether conditions are safe.
Clash is right,risk assessment is your responsibility,if anyone tries to overrule that...then refuse,if they suspend you,bring in the Branch...you'll win as long as you aren't taking the piss.
There is very seldom a definitive magic wand to wave in a manager's face...it's mainly about knowing you're in the right and having the bottle to see that through to the end.

The agreements that have been struck since Billy has been in charge of the CWU have all been wishy-washy, able to be interpratated one way by the CWU & another way by RM management .

WE NEED CLEAR CUT, BLACK & WHITE RULES to follow !

No more local agreements whereby some offices get a better deal than others.

We have ONE union, lets have ONE set of rules & standards that apply to all mail centres / delivery offices / distrabution centres.

RM love the deals that the CWU now strike for us, they can pick units off ONE by ONE, playing one against the other.

Cut Off King, You speak so much sense. Finally someone on here who knows the score. Every agreement is written on purpose to be obscure and subjective. The classic example is the flexibility agreement. Still after 6 years management and union do not agree on what the agreement means. 2007 to 2013 and they have not either come to an agreement on what they agreed or decided to re-negotiate the agreement. This is what we as postmen/women are up against. No wonder the suicide rate of postal workers has risen over the past decade.

These people are playing with people’s mental health and their lives.

What I want to know is if a DIM sent us out in vans and someone died in an accident would the manager be in the dock on a charge of corporate manslaughter. I know in the building industry if someone dies on site the site manager is straight in the dock.

Well no one can give you a definitive answer for that, it depends on circumstance. What you can do, is if you're lino is forcing you to take a van out in what you believe to be unsafe conditions, wrap the van into the first hedge you come across, and after securing the vehicle, walk back to the office.
You've made your point, and maybe you're lino has learnt a lesson.

They don't say it's up to you if you go out, they say the mail must go out.
