Prep Help

Post by Aaron »

I'm a newish starter.. been working 4days now.

Anyway tomorrow is my first day on my own doing my prep and round, I'm a postie and I walk.

I've made a list so I know what to do in what order, just wondering if you could have a look and let me know if I've missed anything or should do something differently:

*Door to Doors
*Throw letters onto frame
*Throw flats onto frame
*Check misorts
*Sort parcels
*Check misorts again
*Tie up into bundles, and put into bags
*Get specials
*Do redirections
*Do kill offs

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Um hope you do redirections before you tie up otherwise you'll end up with none to do every day. Keep at it, it does get easier.

no sorry just can't get me head round that. tell the bloke to get a life. get more people in to do the job. put hours in safe guard jobs surely it can't be worth him doing it.

he just doesnt like going home..and the strange thing is he,s loaded aswell from being left some money..
and if the bosses can get him to do the work then theyre not going to complain..

they take the piss out of him but he likes the job so he,s not fussed.

another top tip aaron is if you have a street / road in which they are all longish drive ways do what i do and seperatly bundle each house (if more than 1 letter) this will take time in prep but will save your legs in mis deliveries. works for me !! :dance

oh and if you are doing a street / road and it breaks on to another street/ road try and budle them seperatly. in fact segregate different streets. hope this helps.
oh and one more tip . if you have a buisness or a work from home person who has loads of mail, seperatly band that up in the bundle , save you flicking and walking! :cool

the knot is tied , the chain is tight and im now a married man :nana :nana
