An other crap day, on same P&L as yesterday. The up side it stayed dry and a customer told me a good story about the change over of the old post office saving books to the "new" ones, when he was a young lad. Those types of tales make my day. :nana but that P&L is still crap.

What's going on?
Every day this week has been really light with only a couple of packages a bag.

Cold today and didn't know the walk but finished 50mins early.

I wonder how long its gonna be before someones at the top of a houses step, to return and find the trolley..GONE!
Bags have worked for many years, so don't see what advantages the trolleys have...yet.
1. Trolley use is mandatory once DM revision has taken place - though smaller bags (5-8kg) can be used in adverse conditions once the duty has been risk assessed.

But in a way more importantly/intriguingly as you were complaining about lapsing in 2009........

2. If you are doing it quicker then you have more options to lapse - more so if your colleagues do it as well.

Managers comment was, "Its ok to use a bag too..." so Im confused now! Why did he say that?
Didnt really finish any quicker, as the other lad had the van key as designated driver, so the "time difference" was sitting/waiting in the rain, wind cold.
His comments were, "The Trolley is much slower I feel..."
Im only relaying wot occurred!

Because he is a knob.

No snow here, but I had the distinct pleasure of a customer telling me he rates us below Hermes because we refuse to leave his packets on the doorstep or in his shed when he's out. :speak to the hand

Got issueds ome spikes today. Asked for chains but apparently we can't have them any more.

Personally I found the chains much better in conditions such as we are experiencing right now! :hmmmm

Chains are for snow.
Spikies are for ice.

We've been issued with.......neither.
