Another quiet day with just a few yorks of IPS (just DSA stuff I think) failing to be sorted. Just like the lottery, we have a big rollover to a "quiet" Tuesday.

Re: The "How was your day" thread.
Monday: After prepping my pkt delivery told by the oik in attendance (doesn't qualify as a manager by any measure) that a round had been prepped for me by dyslexic doris - not happy.
Took the pkt sacs and all pkts off the top of the frame and back to the driver; told the oik that 22 NatTrust counted as 'knockables', which they did.
This is the first time I've been back on the floor since we revised and relocated Sept/Oct '12.. I could not believe how low the morale was amongst the guys, 'we're dragging it out','bored' compared to the good-natured 'competitive' banter I knew for +15 yr.s after our revision stalled at 2/3rds when RM rushed the relocation through.
Completed in the sleet with my 'own van' and taking the 30+20 min breaks (9 hr. x 3 PT).
So, all-in-all an unsettling day as I've been following the Whitstable shenanagins develop.. Will it make any difference?

Another day, another IPS rollover, took out what I thought was achieveable and not a letter more. My finish time justified my call.

Same s**t different day.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Re: The "How was your day" thread.
Covered a round I've done AD-HOC for 5yrs, but it was "altered" in the Transition/Transformation over the w/end.
Didn't have a clue why the guy set it up this way...Odds were now evens, evens now odds. Didn't make sense...
Then was told, "He's done it THAT way to show how F****d up it is, so they'll take loads off it, to make it easier for him later on." I can believe it!!!!
A normal 10-15mins to take it down turned into 1hr so that I knew where I was going, and figure out how much each bag needed etc.
THEN...Asked for a van, told, "None Here" so it was wait 2hrs - 4hrs or use my own vehicle/drop off points. So, I KNOW we aren't supposed to, but I aint waiting around twiddling my thumbs all day. ( I thought the RM Vision was this, "Two sharing a van/park and loop thing?" Seems not here...)
Don't think any "Time Series Analysis/Work Method Study" was EVER taken into account at all with the alterations made.( Been to college, me see!!! LOL! )
So, all-in-all, not good. Same again the rest of the week, no doubt...

Re: The "How was your day" thread.
At which point, why did you not say, "I will twiddle my thumbs while I wait for you to provide me with the correct tools (a van) to do the job, the longer you take, the less mail I will be able to deliver in my contracted hours"?Thunderthighs wrote:THEN...Asked for a van, told, "None Here" so it was wait 2hrs - 4hrs or use my own vehicle/drop off points. I'm confused, because you have been a member here for ages, you know the deal about how wrong it is to use personal vehicles once a delivery methods revision has gone live.
In other news, a killer day, thanks to the rollover IPS from yesterday that was thrown in on o/t yesterday afternoon plus a heavy day of catologues from today's real mail. No chance of completing on time, they had the option of significant completion o/t or I leave a row. Due to o/t clampdown they chose the latter and I still went over a bit (as I warned) and claimed. Lighter than Xmas yes, lighter than model weeks in the kids summer holidays... I want the same drugs the management are taking!
