Failed at interview...

Post by thebiguglyone »

Hi all, I had interview in October and unfortunately failed it :arrrghhh I suppose it won't have helped that I'd been up for 25 and a half hours following on from my night shift... I was a bit gutted as I personally thought the interview went well!

I have been a pipe fitter for years and have had to manage my own time, be up on the Health and safety, work to deadlines, pretty much all that the RM ask for.

Are the RM strict on the 6 month reapply rule? Just wondering as the jobs website only asks if you've had an interview in the last month...

My top, killer question is one on leave entitlement. Is getting 1 week during the six week school holidays and 1 week during any other school holidays every year pretty much an impossibility? If so then I may as well give up now as It just wouldn't be right having my leave whilst they are at school. I know someone who has always done just that by choice and I find it difficult to understand how they can do that to the kids.

Thanks in advance for any reply.

Used to be,but not sure now.
Worth a try either way.

It's not an impossibility, but it's not something you can rely on.
good times, bad times you know I've had my share

Thanks. Probably not apply for any more then. I'll take all the negatives that I've read on here and get the idea in my head that I was saved a life of misery :Very Happy

Although getting paid to get fitter, paid better, out of a smelly factory...NO stop it already :arrrghhh :arrrghhh :arrrghhh
