sorry to keep asking different things - does anybody know what happens with prebooked holidays. the wife always books when brochures come out, so we have a holiday booked for 2 weeks in August. - this was done last may.
my next door neighbour is a postie at same office and he has to book all his holidays a full year in advance
should mine be honoured with it being already booked before my new job- thanks in advance -

We have a collective agreement called the Way Forward from 2000 that covers annual leave and it states...
Prior to annual leave signing, the Staff Resourcing Manager in Mail Centres and the line manager in other operational units, will have discretion to grant specific requests for particular periods of leave from individual employees based on their exceptional and unavoidable personal circumstances. This will include meeting the commitments of employees new to the unit where they join with holidays already arranged, without disadvantaging existing staff with agreed leave already allocated.
good times, bad times you know I've had my share
