Busy here too, packets were the worst I've seen this year - unbelievable amounts. Lots of cards too.

Weather was horrid non stop rain all day
Lots of packets as expected and it seems people have started panicking and using recorded delivery as i had 16 of them. Also 6 reg which will go mad as we get nearer to the big day.

I think the worst day I Have worked. Never ending amounts of packets and letters, and the weather was awful. Packets falling apart in your hand because of the rain, the assault course that is some people's paths due to Christmas decorations, Pda failing on a regular basis and what is wrong with the tyres on the new vans, no grip whatsoever. Finished at 1530 thought I would be last back, but plenty still out. First Christmas after a revision, never felt so knackered. Day off Friday, good luck everyone.
And if all others accepted the lie which the Party imposed-if all records told the same tale-then the lie passed into history and became truth. 'Who controls the past' ran the Party slogan, 'controls the future: who controls the present controls the past.'"

Same here, but most of them could have actually been delivered if the customer was in as they fit through the letterbox - false economy lol.krussel wrote:Lots of packets as expected and it seems people have started panicking and using recorded delivery as i had 16 of them.

Well fed up. Last two days horrendous. Pissing down, 4 bags of packets off the frame, brought half of em back, DNA'd and still finished more than an Hour Over my time, despite throwing out 1hour and 20 minutes Worth of mail to 2 spare men to do.
Tips crap this year.

Specials have gone through the roof and noone in so all coming back to callers. Customers not reading the cards and kicking off as they don't have the right id/right day. No one with Christmas cheer at all.

Worst day ever. Overran by 5 hours. Delivery itself took over 7 hours. Lost the will to live. Where's that suicide thread......

This just shows that if we need to strike, for each day out, it would take over a week to clear the backlogs.
Or just boycott the DSA
