ROYAL MAIL PRIVATISATION : NEW EARLY DAY MOTION (EDM)

The Union is organising a new Early Day Motion (EDM) in the run up to the Christmas recess of Parliament.

To this end, we will be holding a Rally and Lobby of MPs on Thursday 6th December 2012 in Conference Room 14, House of Commons, London SW1A 0AA.

This LTB is to give advance notice of this event. Regional Secretaries will be co-ordinating attendance.

Any enquiries on this LTB should be addressed to the General Secretary’s Office quoting the reference GS 11.0.

Ah the constant refrain that politicians like the conservatives, and Daily Mail readers like nothing better than to hear. If you think its right to privatise then support it, I don't so I reserve the right to show opposition and I prefer not to be called a "head in the sand numpty" just because I am exercising my democratic right. After all you would wan't us to call you a Arrogant Barsteward would you just because you think we should get used it, rather than oppose it.

Did i say i supported it? I'm merely pointing out that with successive governments determined to get rid, they will. Or do you think RM is somehow a special case and they will leave it alone! not a chance. There is too much money to be made by all sorts of people. Yes go ahead and oppose it, just like you probably opposed every other nationalised institution, did it make a difference? Who knows it could work but as I'm saying that, I've just seen a flying pig (or it might be cops in a helicopter).

Its not Political Correctness - its common respect - if you have no respect for others then how can they respect for you. Believe what you want, say what you want, do what you want - just show respect is it that hard to understand.

If saying something is pointless is showing a lack of respect, then so be it, no skin off my nose! Everyday is a struggle in my office since park and crap came about and i'm absolutely knackered at the end of the day. So to see the CWU have a EDM when they should be looking into the unmanagable workloads we have now....I do have respect for people's opinions but as you can tell i'm no diplomat And this is the last i'm going to say on it, you'll be pleased to know

Oh come on are you really that obtuse - you saying something is pointless is fine thats an opinion. Calling people who are opposing privatisation "head in the sand numpty" - is not showing respect is it.

The rest of your post I agree with which may surprise you, I even have some respect for your position on privatisation - I took exception not to your views, but to how you expressed your opinion of others holding a different view. We get enough disrespect at work so why should accept it on here.
