It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

I'm so far in the closet I'm in Narnia! Despite what they say about diversity they really don't like people with 'alternative lifestyles'.

Over 6 years I was there. Not going into my backgroiund, but I didn't start as a postie - I started somewhere else.

ImageEx RM Manager, it will be nice to hear the views of a Manager as at present they all seem to toeing the party line, even when on line. You may get flack from some on here but please don't take it personally. Anyway have fun and I hope to see you become a regular.

Hi Ex RM Manager! were you frontline dealing with postal staff or in the admin? Would be good to get some input from a managerial perspective if you are now free to give it.

Glad to be out of it - hell yes.
Admin - not frontline.
Function - don't want to say. Who knows whose reading?
Towing the Party Line? - not a chance in hell. I agree with some of the party line, and disagree with a lot of it. So much so that I've been told I'm a troublemaker and been put through an ugly mill of abusive behaviour by Very Senior Management. : so much so I've decided to move on rather than stay. And I absolutely loved working for the RM.

not sure what admin covers,can you explain why we never get d2d payments anymore,or the truth behind the speed limit malarky,or why we really are been forced into late start times
