ROYAL MAIL GROUP HEALTH AND SAFETY MANAGEMENT STRUCTURE AND NEW DIRECTOR APPOINTMENT:


A number of meetings have taken place with Shaun Davis since his appointment and both sides have committed to establishing a productive working relationship and dialogue. Shaun has indicated his view that Safety Representatives have an important role to play in improving safety in Royal Mail Group


RM Group Head of Safety Keith Scott has left the business after four and a half years.


A Safety structure re-org is taking place at the top and Shaun Davis is the newly appointed RM Group Director of Safety & Health and takes overall control at Group Board Level for both Safety & Health, filling the vacancy left by Dr Steve Boorman who left the business some time ago.


Shaun Davis has worked previously for Balfour Beatty, ROK and Biffa.
Mr Davis will lead the RM Group Safety and Health team.

He is also taking over leadership of the RM Ops & Mod (Letters) HQ Safety Team.


Further re-org changes may take place.


Gerry Teggart Director Safety RM Ops (Letters) and David Butler Head of Safety Parcelforce remain unchanged.
