More or less as yesterday. Packets coming in thick and fast now. Drivers failing to clear. Postmen/women bringing plenty back...

I think my office is quite good compared to most, sure we cut off and have arguments with managers ect but things get done, packets get taken out and cut offs get delivered on overtime, seeing 'managers' with there feet up doing nothing while you work your tits of would get my back up as well, maybe you need a better rep, saying that I never see our rep either.

Rotten bastards gave us the busiest, heaviest, most soul-destroying day of the week, today...Saturday.
An absolute mountain of s**t went out today, s**t that could just as easily be delivered on a Monday, Tuesday.
A curse on all those responsible.

Cut off four loops yesterday with my partner. Not the only one's to bring mail back. Mail sitting until Monday. Was told when we came back we'd have to fill out a form stating exactly how much mail we brought back. This of course meant we had to cut off much earlier, in order to count the mail...

Oh, left with a s**t load of D2D's to do as well because our s**t heap of a rep never bothered to do any when he was on the duty earlier in the week...

Same at our office, it was terrible.
They threw everything out and had sorters in early so all the ips frames were stuffed to bursting point with flats. Packet bag was full when i got in at 6am
Being the weak office i work in no one was prepared to cut off so i just stayed out. Booked 1hr 45 mins or at least will on monday as the office was very closed when i got back.
Worse sat in bloody ages.
Rows of houses all bearing down on me........I can feel their blue hands touching me.......All these things in all positions.........All these things will one day take control..........

Really late finish for a Saturday. Thought I would be the last back but a couple came back in a van as I was sorting my stuff out. On the way home there was another van coming towards me with another couple in. If it carries on until xmas I can see the DOMs head popping.

I don't know why you guys stay out late, just tell them you have something to do (having a power nap so I can watch MOTD is my favourite), I don't do OT, especially on a Saturday, if RM want to send loads down then they just have to find someone to cover my excess

So how long does mail go undelivered? Do you cut off say, your last loop, that mail goes back in, cut off the same loop the next day, goes back in etc.?tolkien wrote:covering excess (cut offs)is something i can only dream about ,mine is always back in the frame the next day , and the next, and the next and so it goes on .DGP1 wrote:I don't know why you guys stay out late, just tell them you have something to do (having a power nap so I can watch MOTD is my favourite), I don't do OT, especially on a Saturday, if RM want to send loads down then they just have to find someone to cover my excess

Horrible day. Lot's of mail and a blitzkrieg from Virgin Media. Thanks again.
Sent on a walk which laughably should be a 3:30 walk but took me over 4hrs. Fab.

Today was crap.
It is only Monday and I'm already shattered.

Re: The "How was your day" thread.
Not bad for packets but the mail was really busy. 4 sequenced boxes, reday when we walked through the door. Didn't seem to be many in today, loads deployed throwing walks off for p/timers or for overtime due to peeps missing.
