Dear Colleague

POST OFFICE: SALES INCENTIVE SCHEME 2012/13, QUARTER 2 – JOINT STATEMENT

I am pleased to report that payments in relation to the Sales Incentive Scheme (SIS) for Quarter 2 of 2012/13 will be made with October salaries. A Joint Statement covering the SIS performance for the last quarter is attached to this LTB for your information.

Overall, the performance for Quarter 2 was encouraging and has resulted in 95.4% of Crowns receiving a bonus payment.

Key Aspects – Quarter 2 2012/13

Quarter 2 performance – overall national waiting for Focus Products was 98.5% of target (Quarter 1: 103.63%)
SIS Quarter 2 payments totalling £805k (£199 per member)
95.4% of Crowns received a bonus payment for Quarter 2 with only 17 Crowns failing to achieve a payment
A combined total of £1.857m will have been paid in total for both Quarter 1 and Quarter 2 – up £167k (+9.9%) from £1,690m at the same point in the last financial year.

The following table summarises the Quarter 2 results

Product Specialists (PS) and Financial Specialists (FS)

Product Specialists will receive a total of £28k in payments for Quarter 2. This includes £17k for the Mails PS and £11k for the Travel PS. Financial Specialists will receive a separate communication regarding their payments.

Boost Your Bonus

Under Boost Your Bonus Summer Travel campaign - £100 payments are also being paid to 198 members in the 20 best performing Crowns (one per CSCSM area).

Quarter 3 2012/13 - Current Performance

The focus for Quarter 3 will be on Mails as we enter the usual busy Christmas period. Currently, the average performance at week 31 (five weeks into Q3) is running at a level of 104%. This is a very strong platform to build upon the good payments made for Quarter 2.

Perhaps I am being over sensitive but the language used in that LTB comes across as a Business promoting the bonuses as good news, rather than a Union advising its members of facts and positions.

I think the writer hasn't separated the Joint Statement and LTB and that perhaps that has caused this impression.

No, I think you'll find that for CWU read POL and vice versa nowadays. :sad:
