Lincoln Post

Post by lincskevin »

the post in lincoln seems to be all over the place. the postman puts neighbours post through our letterbox and vice versa. the neighbor then puts it back in the royal mail post office

a first class item sent out from cornwall post office at 11:25 monday morning hasnt arrived and its now Saturday. There must be some reason for why first class is getting so late and why we have several days where no postman delivers.

the seller in this case sent the item gave out the receipt so it was handded in to royal mail cornwall but disppeared from there he sent out 21 others items and every one of those items arrived at the other places next day or the day after next

so whats up lincoln why is the mail screwed up as the item was very important and can only be orded online

If your looking for an official answer it would best to go to the Royal Mail.

While not being able to comment about individual postmen or particular letters it's a fact that 60,000 jobs have gone from Royal Mail in ten years and this reduction has affected the quality of service not just in Lincoln but all over the country.

A first class parcel still hasnt arrived and i have the proof it was sent out. The moment it enters royal mail hands it goes missing. Severel other customers in area have parcels disappear. A first class appointment letter that was sent out on the september 3rd didnt arrive till 20th of september that is outragous, but you complain the royal mail staff do nothing even though they handle the mail. Its really annoying as the parcel i was waiting for was a birthday present and can only be ordered online so if.i try to get another one it still comes by post and could disappear again.

Something needs to be done royal mail increases postage prices and yet first class takes two weeks thats bad and royal mail needs to wake up and realise there are other delivery companys willing to do there job

Sorry your parcel hasn't showed up yet. One reason for this could be that Lincoln delivery office appears on the list of offices with a failing revision. Long story short, new working practices have lead to mail sometimes not being delivered on time, sometimes it may be delayed for a ridiculous length of time.

Several avenues are available to you; make a complaint to the manager of your local delivery office and ask him to investigate, complain to Customer Services and ask them to do the same. As to re-ordering the goods while this is being sorted out, you could ask the seller to send it via a recorded service so it can be traced more easily.
Hope this helps.

Other companies have already taken the more profitable areas of what was RM's business and left us with the crumbs i.e. the actual delivery of mail, the expensive to run, maintain and equip part.
This, in no small way, has lead to where we find ourselves today, trying to make an ill conceived and poorly executed new way of working actually work. Hence delivering mail a fortnight late.
