I wouldn't let any Royal Mail manager, senior, or otherwise, near a 'bric-a-brac' stall, let alone a huge corporation.

You're not the ones that brought four bags back, are you? If so there were some less-than-complimentary things being said in the office. Although I'm sure half an hour after I'd left, there were some less-than-complimentary things being said about our pairing.

A so so day

Had to push a little hard to get around on time and my legs complained. :left:

Cracking day though, nice and sunny with a cooling breeze, lovely :Applause

Back half an hour earlier than yesterday. Hardly any packets for a Friday and it was dry and humid for the most part.

You're not even trying fng.
Anything less than a two bag cut off on a friday is definitely a performance issue.

My day?
s**t as usual.
Revision coming up were every one will get what nobody wants, pushed through by only 1 vote.
finished over my time ....AGAIN! well pissed off, as usual.

Phrases like 'Crack on', or 'Just gerron with it', 'you're taking the piss' are regular replies.
Then it goes to,
"So you are telling me that that you 'can't finish by 2pm?'" He's calling us liars then isn't he?
The latest one is the threat of being done for ......wait for it,
'POOR PERFORMANCE!'
Well how can doing what it says on their crappy little computer senario, when super mario walks around your walk and it takes him 4 hours and 1 hour prep first, by the way, 'no break', can this be poor performance?

It's petty, ridiculous and very unbusiness like. So for all you DOM's who read this it's time to re-evaluate what you actually are there for.
'No it's not to save money on overtime that you think comes out of your own pocket.
IT IS to assist the staff to actually GET THE JOB DONE! You know with emphasis on the word
'Assist!' Some of you have forgoton that one, haven't you.
:d'oh! :d'oh!

Sat.

Not too bad really as its been heavy all week so sat seemed a lot lighter. Only down side was plenty of packets, none of which were big enough to put out to the driver. Finished bang on time and enjoyed the walk around in the sunshine.

I'm on a walk next week where half the normal packets and all the over-sizeds didn't go out yesterday. So I know I'm cutting off tomorrow before I even start.

About 10 or so left from when i was here last, most of the old blokes have retired in last 12 years. When you think back 25 years ago to when I started in office of 65 staff thats not so bad, and those were the good old days !!!!
Yep thats how it is with relationships at work, its like the forces, should never have allowed girls in service me thinks
