Another lumpy day, another cut-off.
Yes, these walks are so achieveable inside contract hours with all aspects of indoor work carried out, it must be a teething problem!

Same as Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Think we've seen the last of the quiet days now. Word has it that Manchester m/c is ramped full. No doubt we will get our share.

I've joined the real world at last
No more cushy walk
I'm on a P/L walk thats massive and we have to cut off 3 bags a day, even tho both of us are very quick walkers. Never had to cut off before.... I took to it suprisingly easily

Really struggling in our office. People sick + holidays. They just cant get people to do enough ot. Lapsing was knocked back by many. Some in early to sort and some in on days off too. They've even took people off their walks and had them in doors sorting instead.

Re: The "How was your day" thread.
Most of them are massive. A lot of the guys that are getting it done are cutting some serious corners. Honest to god, I'd dob on them, if I thought management cared. They're chuffed to bits that idiots are running around with bags on their bag JUST to finish on time. It's saving them 50 hours on the overtime budget - that is apparently a good 20% - 30% above the level it was before park & loop. And this is at a time when the mail is fairly light, where they're hiding the mail in a morning, where they're rushing us out of the door 30 minutes before the actually outdoor work should begin. I fear for the office when it gets busy.fng wrote:I've joined the real world at lastNo more cushy walk

Even now, they're managing to keep the chaos somewhat limited due to:
- part-timers coming in on prep EVERY day
- guys working nights doing sorting EVERY night
- lots of people showing willingness to do cut-offs
- lots of IDIOTS cutting corners
None of that is sustainable. We're heading for a total collapse. Personally, I cannot wait.

Same as the rest of the week. Just don't seem to be able to cope with the mail and lack of staff.
