One more day to go and that will be the end of our first week of park and loop ( my frame is an absolute mess, no wings, no room for packets). Apart from Tuesday very busy all week, mad and bored people ordering crap off the net ( do you really need a Spear of Destiny album that you threw away all those years ago, back in the house again?). Going to every door from wednesday onwards, loads of bulk postings and catalogues. Sunny morning, but as soon as I had completed my first loop the skies opened and it hasn't stopped raining.
And if all others accepted the lie which the Party imposed-if all records told the same tale-then the lie passed into history and became truth. 'Who controls the past' ran the Party slogan, 'controls the future: who controls the present controls the past.'"

Office fast approaching meltdown. Another bod went sick today. Packets were not thrown off until after break and even then some were let. Managers throwing walks off as nobody was available. Someone left today after about 5 years service. Don't think we will see many stick it out now.

I think this is what a failed revision looks like. Trays of walk-sequenced mail not even touched. The IPS benches covered in un-sorted mail. And this at 2pm on a Saturday, at close of play no less. Yorks of packets impose themselves upon the exit doors. Postmen fly in and out of the Delivery Office, not wishing to see the chaos caused by Park & Loop. Some people are cutting off. Other times managers are having to utilise their expertise as stand-in conveyance drivers, rushing backwards and forwards to get one person, then another, out to do overtime - just to finish off the meagre amounts of mail that were thrown in in the morning, so that ostensibly, all streets in the office have had a 'delivery'. The rest of the time management hide away wherever they can find a quiet corner, free of the stresses. One hand in their pocket, the other clinging to the refuge of a cup of tea, or coffee. All the time looking utterly out of their depth.

I've met them.
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Busy as hell. Schools are back and they got loads of post. Only managed to clear half of it. Loads of people on the sick or holidays.

Big big fail for the office today. I knew it was going to be bad when I walked in this morning to find an OPG & LM screaming abuse at each other :cuppa
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

That is very unprofessional. Wouldn't happen in my DO. :whistle

Shocker for a monday, mails gone through the roof yet were still staffed as though its quiet time (when was that i think i missed it this year). Managers running round begging people to do overtime so the savings made on not been staffed up properly are been spent on the delivery side. I cut off and still finished 30mins over and once again congratulations to the Union for the 6 door to doors i have to take this week, well worth striking for :d'oh!

Strange day today REALLY easy, hardly any packets, 3 sign fors, big gaps and missed most top floor flats,4 D2D including the dreaded charity bag but nice to have a good one every so often makes the rest of the week easier to cope with.

Heaviest Monday I can recall since last Xmas and you could easily have thought it was Wednesday by the scale of the workload, the mail for schools and a certain DIY store catologues of various shapes/sizes was unreal. Would have been delivering to nearly teatime if I had not cut off.

Heavy! It was like a bad Wednesday today - packets were managable but flats just didn't end. Was a long day.
