Sick Pay

Post by garydriver7 »

Hi, been at parcelforce for about 10 months now and just had my first instance of sickness. I was off for 2 days. Just received my pay slip and my basic pay has gone down by about £500 and then it also says sick pay £85. Any help would be much appreiciated. Thanks.

Only time I had this happen was when my manager hadn't signed me off being sick. So I was in work but as far as wages knew I was still off.

Hi,
As you have been with parcelforce for less than 12 months you will not get sick pay. If you do pre scheduled o/t you will not get that either. I would check with the person who does your vpay as to how many days they put you on the sick for as £500 seems more than a week off or phone wages yourself, make sure you have your payslip with you as they will ask you questions for security reasons.

Kev.
