Yayyyy I got the job.

Post by cloudnine1971 »

Hi everyone, just popping on with a quick update,i posted the other week to ask about status updates,i'm pleased to say I have had my induction day today and have my first shift tomorrow.I'm chuffed to bits to be going back to being a postie after a career break, the only thing i'm a bit gutted about is i applied for a 10 month contract but was only offered a 3 month one, another lady was taken on and she got the 10month one, don't get me wrong i'm happy for her just a bit disappointed that i will probably be leaving after 3 short months  I think i'm covering part of maternity leave.I really hope i get to stay a bit longer but not holding my breath.Anyway I look forward to getting to know you guys on here.Bye for now Heather :Very Happy

Congratulations.
It can seem a tough job to start with but it gets easier.
Work hard and the three months might become three years or longer.

You have a great attitude, and I would think that has been formed by the way you were treated when you worked for RM before your break - I hope you find things have changed for the better but most peoples experience is that they haven't. Good luck and let us know what you find different after some time away - I have a long weekend off sometimes and it's a different job when I get back !!!

Hi, when I had my interview it was for a three month contract but was told that the role wouldn't end after the 3 months but will be a 3 month rolling renewable contract. I hope this will be the case for yourself.
