Buyer claims to have not received parcel?

Hi guys,
I recently sold an alarm clock worth nearly £30 to a buyer via 2nd class Royal Mail, is there anyway I can track this parcel, or find out if the buyer has had the parcel redelivered or picked up from the Post Office?

Fraid not. You NEED to send all PayPal paid items via Signed for or Special Delivery, unless you can provide a tracking number with proof of delivery PayPal will ALWAYS refund the buyer their money. No, that only way you can track packets is through the Tracked or Special Delivery products, the Recorded service would get a signature at the end but everything else is just delivered and tbh with the amount each of us deliver each day it would be impossible for us to even remember.

Also what proof of delivery are you speaking of?

No, we don't record all packets or parcels coming in so there's no way of knowing what happened to it.

Proof of delivery is when we get a signature for an item at the door but you have to pay for it............which I assume you didn't.

Did you get a Certificate of Posting when you sent the parcel, because if not I don't think you can claim the value up to £60 ?

For stamped, metered and by account* items a postage refund plus compensation on the basis of actual loss, where evidence of posting and evidence of value can be provided. This compensation is subject to the maximum payable being the lower of the market value of the item and the maximum of £46.00.

Postage refund (a minimum payment of 6 x 1st Class letter stamps at the first weight step) shall be payable where only basic evidence is provided or the item is of no intrinsic value.

For items posted before 9th January 2012 claims must be submitted within 12 months of posting. Claims for items posted on or after 9th January 2012 must be made within 80 calendar days of posting.

its fixed at £46 now
