I hope you're not one of those who has already resorted to carrying a bag three days in. Certain people have been finishing an hour early even on park + loop - funnily enough, they have been spotted by a few of the lads not using the provided equipment. I've heard that some walks are failing but cannot verify it as anything other than conjecture. Frankly ... don't care.with flats where the trolly cannot be left unattended

Re: The "How was your day" thread.
Worst week of my life down Bellamy. I knew it was going to be bad when I got 'the talk' on Monday morning from the lino. Only thing missing at the end of 'the talk' was a bulletproof vest and a Kalashnikov. Still ... it's over now. Fingers crossed I never go back.fng wrote:No, not quite that badtaurus88 wrote:fng wrote:Not at all, half the walk is on an estate of ill reputetaurus88 wrote:?fng wrote:its nice to be shot of them (on half the walk anyway)

I know where you mean. I've done round Jubilee and that's a bit of a sh*t-hole. Brutalist architecture all round there. I've always wondered if they were looking to punish the people they were housing when they built estates like that.fng wrote:For the time beingtaurus88 wrote:Worst week of my life down Bellamy. i'm more in the tesco/argos area. Rough but not toooo bad
Anyway, I've heard that a fair few of the walks are failing. Spoke to a few guys who believe it's completely unachievable in its current form without additional staff. The only reason all the mail is getting done at the minute is because half the office is not yet on P & L and the overtime kings are snapping up the extra loops.
Once the others come in, there'll be work left over and few people willing to do it. Just be happy you're on a manageable walk - for the time being. I imagine I'll be spare in a fortnight's time and it'll be a nightmare. From rurals to town on a week-by-week basis, and getting the sh*t end of every stick going.

Have you two considered just having a chat during your meal relief?
Or you could get a room?
Or you could get a room?
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Holy crap it was warm today, really takes it out of you when it warms up (I do miss it when it's cold), the first 3 1/2 hours are OK but it's the next 2 that really kill it (well the hour with all the hills and steps do it).

Re: The "How was your day" thread.
It's been a hot week, this one. Luckily mail has been okay. Not that that has helped many of our new P & L duties. I think we can safely say our revision has culminated in the big 'F', despite my initial optimism.
