DHL Express named as main courier for Scottish public sector

DHL Express has been named by Procurement Scotland as the main courier provider for the Scottish public sector.

The new deal follows a review for all courier contracts to be centralised under a Procurement Framework agreement. Previously DHL had held several Scottish government courier contracts.

The parcel carrier will provide same-day, overnight and international deliveries for the government, universities, the NHS and the police at pre-agreed rates.

Commenting on the new deal, Manish Joshi, MD same-day for DHL Express UK, said: "This is a very important time for the Scottish public sector to be reviewing its partners to ensure it is getting the most cost-efficient service. We are very proud to be able to provide a service that delivers significant cost savings without compromising quality of service."
