I have looked on the royal mail site on international zones and Iraq is in world zone 1 which apparently only airmail goes to but is not any clearer than that.
I want to post to any of these two cities Sulaimania or Ranya which you can find in the image below
Ranya is the yellow block in the middle and Sulaimania is a light blue just below Ranya

I still don't get it
If you want to send a letter to Scotland from Iraq. you sent it via the rate for the UK.
Iraq is listed under RMs prices.
Thats it.job done.
Its down to the receiving country to sort out how it gets there.
Airmail doesnt mean they air drop it to the exact city

okay so airmail drops it off in Iraq now what I want to know is how to get it to the person I'm trying to send it to because I don't want them to travel over a 1000 miles or more to get to a basic letter

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been. My BFF Clash The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
