Postal services operator Secured Mail has received a funding boost of more than £400,000 to buy a new sorting machine for its Warrington headquarters.

The asset finance deal with Santander Corporate Banking will enable Secured Mail to increase capacity to support a growing customer base.

The firm, which also has operations in Crick, Northamptonshire, and Dartford, Kent, collects and sorts post on behalf of corporate clients, then transports it to Royal Mail depot for final delivery. Customers include Amazon, American Express and Centrica.

Chief executive Mark Bigley, who founded Secured Mail in 2005, said the £416,000 funding facility enables the business to invest in new technology to support its growth.
