Hi,
Can anyone tell me how to contract Heathrow Distribution Centre (HWDC) Langley, please? A small packet was sent to me from Japan and has been traced as far as HWDC where it arrived on the 13th October 2010. Seems a long time for it to be languishing at Heathrow (it is now 11th November!).
I tried the Post Office portal: http://www.royalmail.com/portal/rm/prod ... aId=400023" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; but the site did not understand HWDC or 'Heathrow Worldwide Distribution Centre' so that avenue was not very fruitful. I tried various Google searches but could not find any direct contacts for HWDC.
I have a registration number, shipment and delivery dates/times.
Many thanks
Martin

Call Customer Services on 08457 740740 they may be able to help. Have you received a grey surcharge card? You may have to pay duty on the item.

Re: Packet arrived at HWDC Langley on the 20th July 2012
Is there anyway of finding out how long will a packet take to get delivered from HWDC to my home address?
I was meant to receive this on the 19th from portugal but it's still sitting at the HWDC for no particular reason and I am not sure how to find out when I will get this delivered to me?

For some reason things grind to a halt when they get to HWDC,while there would be customs checking things out,it does seem to take longer than it used to nowadays.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Re: Packet arried at HWDC Langley on the 13th Oct 2010.
When you say "I was meant to receive this on the 19th" you mean that the poster told you it may arrive then? No mail coming into the country has a date it is supposed to be delivered on. Any date you were given is guesswork and is affected by the posters countries postal system, international postal movements and the UK postal system.
It could be held up for any number of reasons. The fact you don't know the reason it is apparently at HWDC (was it scanned last *at* HWDC or as *dispatched to* HWDC?) is because items with a reason for delay are not scanned to tell you that reason. You'll find out the reason either never or when the item is a) not delivered due to customs charges until you pay b) returned to sender as prohibited goods c) opened and examined by customs before being sent on d) etc etc. The scan code may also not be compatible with the UK system or the code may have fallen off the item.
Assuming it's not got a charge due, your address is readable, labels haven't fallen off etc then it'll be with you when it is with you. It may or may not be scanned along the route. Give it a few weeks to be sure.
