Royal Mail Operations Reorganisation - Safety Director Appointments:
 
Following Royal Mail Operations decision to reorganise the business
from 11 Regions to 5 new geographies, we have been notified of the Safety Director
appointments as follows:-
 
RM Operations Safety Director - Gerry Teggart
North - Safety Director - Steve Greaves
East - Safety Director - Mike Shakeshaft
West - Safety Director - Darren Thain
South West - Safety Director - Senol Ali
South East – Safety Director - Tom O'Kane
 
The new appointments will take up their new positions in relation to
the new geographies with handovers planned over the coming weeks.  
 
Discussions will be taking place with Royal Mail in relation to consultative
arrangements, Health and Safety Committees and interfaces etc in relation
to the effective deployment of the CWU Health and Safety Representation
and Consultation National Agreement 1997, the Business Transformation
2010 and Beyond Agreement and the new 2012 World Class Mail Agreement
Section 5 (Safety) once finalised and promulgated. Discussions are also underway
on a number of other initiatives e.g. New Delivery Methods Revisions Safety
and the use of H&S Joint Working Groups.
