At a meeting yesterday afternoon, the Postal Executive unanimously rejected what Royal Mail described as their "full and final offer" on pay and how we deal with the future.

The offer comprised of 2.5% - conditional on unacceptable strings including wholesale cuts, major change and flexibility.

The Union has told Royal Mail we want to reach an agreement - but Royal Mail have told us they will drive through their business plan regardless.
This is a declaration of wholesale managerial executive action to impose change at local level.
We have no alternative other than to ballot our members for strike action.
