No it's not finalized but if they give us any colleague share money I'll show my bare backside on the town hall steps at midday on a Saturday. Lets face facts RM have run rings round the CWU leadership for years and without the sycophantic support they get they'd have been out on their ear.whatamess!! wrote:Doesn't the new agreement say that colleague shares will be re-looked at by an independent party, so if the independent party say they were worth something then surely that's what RM will have to pay us, so colleague shares is still not at a finalized state???

No what it actually says is Royal Mail has agreed to share with CWU all the relevant information to enable a further independent validation of the legal and financial aspects of the scheme.whatamess!! wrote:Doesn't the new agreement say that colleague shares will be re-looked at by an independent party, so if the independent party say they were worth something then surely that's what RM will have to pay us, so colleague shares is still not at a finalized state???
So basically it's a case of help yourself to the box of files in the corner,do what you like with them because we're finished with it...don't let the door hit you on the way out.
If by some miracle Royal Mail have forgotten to shred a smoking gun what exactly are the CWU going to do about it?...take them to court or call a strike over an issue they have already negotiated a replacement for?
That's a laugh.
The independent look-see is a sop.
They won't find anything even if they do find anything...it would be too embarrassing for all concerned if they did.
good times, bad times you know I've had my share

Re: LTB 455/12 - Colleagueshare/New Incentive Arrangements
Is that all the information pre-bailout or post-bailout. You made a valid point about the monies released by the bail out - naturally enough it was soon scotched as being too complicated to be utilised - but perhaps that data could be released at the same time so we can see that whilst it was a millstone pre-bailout that held RM and the CWU in thrall, it suddenly becomes the elephant in the room post-bailout. Taken together with the huge increase in postal charges, if there was a 1.2 billion escrow pot and a further 280 million a year which will NOT be required to service the pension deficit shouldn't the books be looking much healthier.

There are people in my office, that don't normaly bother with union issues and such. But listening to a few comments from them, made me think how on earth did the CWU screw this issue up? The CWU will have some making up to do i think.

Judging by the comments on here, it's almost as if people have lost faith in the union.

pretty much.
If my DO is typical then we see it as having no support and being on our own.
Staff are bullied and harrased on a daily basis.
reps are cosy with the managers

That will come handy paying toward the flight. Why 2013 to get extra 100 pounds for xmas money instead of this year.

Oh goody goody, I wonder what I'll be getting this year...........there hasn't even been a hint, like what colour jumper would you like, how many pairs of socks, so it's going to be a complete surprise.fishtank wrote:Because you're getting this year's £100...this month.Darren Bent wrote:Why 2013 to get extra 100 pounds for xmas money instead of this year.

WCM has identified that the xmas bonus is an unproductive incentive and that socks would be a more fitting reward for workers efforts at this festive time

I did hear that the CWU had endorsed "Bean Stalk" seeds and that when they have grown, you will be able to climb them and gain a golden egg, however, you'd need to give up driving allowance, delivery suppliment & the SWW to gain this benifit.dvbuk55 wrote:I want seeds, I want seeds - only this time can I choose which ones?Cut Off King wrote:WCM has identified that the xmas bonus is an unproductive incentive and that socks would be a more fitting reward for workers efforts at this festive time
