It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

If you are so ill its difficult to do the work, or redundancy is in the offing because they are making changes in the Depot - then Yes there is a chance, but its not something I would bank on.emi42 wrote:......
Outside of those 2 options - No the chance would be very very small indeed.
Although if you are an Owner Driver then there may be something in your contract so it would be best to check that out.

Just to add to this. If you have a condition that is covered under the DDA and is a progressive illness which has caused time off. If you agree to reduce hours for rehabilitation purpose or to keep you working because of the chronic condition. My interpretation is if they then IHR you, then you get full terms as if you were on FT wages. Also can they sack you if your sick records or reacurrance of condition causing time off.
