Darlington/Middlesbrough duty set has now been produced and all the duties are absolute crap designed to get processing people to take e.v.r. Tyneside have obviously kept all the best duties for themselves.Earlies has now become 10.00-1800 Tuesday- Saturday and all duties are d.s.a. or 39 hours bag tipping to put it another way. Also we are told these are additional duties which will go after a year so 5 years travelling means jack s**t.No doubt Royal Mail and the unions will shout about how there were no compulsory redundancies in the press but as anyone can see we are being forced out.

Apparently the union are now debating with R.M. if to go back to common seniority for the move so that would mean if you have long service like myself 30 odd years you will get first pick of 39 hours of bag tipping .Oh how my career has progressed through the years.

A similar story in Darlington job matching started with obvious cock-ups this is royal mail after all. Some night shift staff have got different shifts as told they didn't have the allowances to get shift they wanted.Everyone apart form 2 people got e.v.r. if they wanted it .The professional drivers have been told that there are 29 jobs being resourced on common seniority staying at Darlington .The rest of the drivers will get jobs at tyneside driving if they wish. The jobs for the top 29 who get jobs at Darlington will be sorted out through m.t.s.f. ie if youre on nights now you will be matched to nights or earlies to earlies e.t.c.

Yup, 29 Dist Jobs to remain at the DL 'hub' but not sure about how many will be fixed and how many will be in rotations. The jobs will go on seniority first then MTSF. Drivers who don't get jobs in DL have been told there will be a driving job in NE. A member of processing who did not want VR was told he had it. He was very confused. The planners have gone away to re look at things.
