we have to use the coffins in our office due to space between frames, which is roughly 4ft between them ( walkway )

we did have two of the green hydrolic wheelies but they were to big and were taken away.

H&S have been round and placed stickers stating that there is not enough space between frames but nothing has ever been done in the 4 years I have worked there.

good job we are all skinny b***ards ( NOT!!! )

their has to be a minimum of 1.8 meters space between frames, walk ways etc

that came from the national design council and HSE

We still use them, the new way of working will phase them out no doubt.
Don't forget, they must not be used outside of an office,in the yard to load up ect.

Oh and it's a Koffin,with a K.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Why don't you edit the title of the thread then?
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Because the floor inside the office should be flat so they won't roll away, where as the yard may not be flat so they could roll away and hit someone or be hit by a moving vehicle (and then hit someone as well). We get people putting pouches in ALTs all the time and it pisses me off because they are not safe to use in our yard which has a massive slope on it.
