CS alternate payment.

hi, i was wondering if any one knew about the Colleague Shares Alternate payment... i ask this as it's been mention on the site that the Union and Royal Mail are currently discussing an alternate payment for the CS fiasco.

id be grateful if any one had any info on this..

I'm waiting for the valuation in May, then i think we may get a small payment (say £200-£300)
Then watch the shares rocket in value now the scheme's done

I think there will be an alternative to the Colleagueshare money.
I think we will hear about it in the next few weeks.
I suspect it will be a lump sum/incentive/savings related scheme similar to the transformation lump sums.
Just what Royal Mail will want in return is another question.
My personal opinion is that we should tell them to shove it.

Given that some people haven't yet had all/any of the Transformation Lump Sums it will be interesting to see what they have to do to get the "alternative colleagueshare".

You don't want a vote on the replacement to CS and will accept whatever the Union can get

Or you just want the money

This 'so called union' agree to any old crap, and the majority vote in favour of any agreement even if it cuts the throat of the work force

Most will agree with me on this.........

If one person gets a payout then we all should receive the same.

Everyone who has retired/Ill health etc received a payment ranging from £2000 - £250 (2010-2012) some received full payment some half or less while the rest of us wait 'cap in hand' for a final valuation which could be something or nothing.

In 2013 watch the shares fly in value when the scheme is closed

unfortunately they( rm directors) believe that holding on to money owed is good business.
its a carrot to begin with, then they withhold the carrot and its a stick to beat you with
toe the line if you want your shares.
its backfired as we feel cheated
we have stopped believing the promises and lost site of the "carrot"

For the record Leighton and Crozier introduced the phoney colleague share based on a cash flow projection of 5 years in advance. The Colleague share was not agreed by the CWU and it was introduced to undermine the union. of course it intially paid out.

During the talks the CWU got as much as colleague share into the lump sum payments as possible and even took legal advice to attempt to get more of it but the legal advice said it was not possible.

Now when Moya revalued the company in line with colleague Share the company was in a negative position and again this was another con in order to get European State Aid.

The CWU are in talks which have so far got an agreement in principle on World Class Mail's , MTSF and Job Security , it's not far off an agreement on the attendance procedure , it is in talks on revisons in delivery offices , pay , and a replacement for colleague share.

It's easy to say on here the colleague share money should be paid and the CWU have said it in the room a thousand times but it is not going to be paid , so do the CWU try and get new money paid or not as Royal Mail aim to lengthen the agreement not walk away from it.

If we are buttally honest , apart from Mail Centre closures , walk sequencing and automation very little has worked in terms of the delivery part of the agreement and that over two thirds of offices have yet to have a method revison.

The state aid case and the Government loan was dependent on the transformation taking place and therefore Royal Mail are not going to walk away from it and therefore the CWU must get the best deal for the agreement extending and then put it to the policy forum and the members via a ballot.
