Well I am now just totally confused. I rang HR line this am and they said they are still waiting for information on the shares valuation. I did point out about the 56p share valuation but they could not comment. I add I took VR and left on the 15 November 2010.GRUSS wrote:I echo your sentiments.mazza111 wrote:I've done my time of fighting them all, am done with it.. no more fight left, no balls? Re: Colleague shares for people who have left
Well despite being told when I left on IHR in February this year, that I was an eligible leaver for shares, etc. , and not having recieved any communication I emailed the CS dept. direct I got this reply;
"The third allocation of ColleagueShares planned for May 2009 did not go ahead and was instead replaced by a cash payment as part of the Business Transformation agreement.
Communications regarding ColleagueShares will have gone out to all employees due to the nature of the scheme, you were still entitled to (and received Dividend payments). However Share certificates were sent out to employees in 2007 and 2008 when the allocations were calculated and as you were not employed at the time you would not have received these."
So basically if you joined after May 31st 2008 ( I started 1st June 2008) you don't get NADDA! Unless someone can tell us different. Strange as the Info Booklet did state that the allocations would be for 2007, 2008, and 2009.
Perhaps another example of moving the goal posts? Don't get me wrong, I never really expected to get anything anyway, I consider myself lucky to get IHR after a serious AOD, it's just the lack of clear & accurate information that gets me. People should not be mislead into thinking there is something for them, when there clearly isn't.

Re: Colleague shares for people who have left
Sorry Pillow they sent out a bookelet with the first lot of CS and it said: ftp://ftp.royalmail.com/Downloads/publi ... ochure.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Of course you would not have received that and would have been unware. More a case of RMs real problem that being "Lack of Communication", but they do keep moving the Gola Posts for those that are entitled.To be eligible for ColleagueShares you have to be
permanent (or have a continuous long-term temporary
contract), have been employed in the UK on 17 May
2007 (the issue date), and not be on a career break or
extended period of unpaid absence. People on casual
contracts aren’t eligible and neither are those who work
for joint venture companies such as ROMEC and Quadrant.
GLS employees are not included either. Sub-Postmasters
are so important to our business in dealing with our
customers and selling our products that they are included
as well, and they will be told of the particular rules that
apply to them.

Re: Colleague shares for people who have left
The problem is that pillow wasn't here for the 2007 and 2008 issue so he wasn't entitled to it but if there had been a final 2009 issue of shares as there was supposed to be pillow would have been entitled to them but there wasn't so he wasn't...that £600 went into the transformation lump sums which pillow would have been entitled to if he had stayed long enough for the revisions to go through but he didn't so he wasn't.
An unfortunate set of circumstances mean pillow gets nothing even if the shares turn out to be worth something which is unlikely.

Re: Colleague shares for people who have left
I am looking for some help regarding the Share scheme. I left RM under vr about 18 months ago and received about £250.00 less reductions from them about a year ago. The problem is I have to fill in now a self assessment tax form and want to try and claim the tax back. However not sure where information should be entered on the form. Whether it is under the employment section or share scheme. As anyone else had this issue and any advice would be greatly appreciated.
With thanks,

They weren't shares but a bonus by a different name so it'll be just added to your wage income.GRUSS wrote:I am looking for some help regarding the Share scheme. Bonus section if it has one - not shares as DGP says.
