Distance to delivery point from van/weight issues

Recently a firm has decided it's going to change it's parking area, This means I have to travel a few more yards to the reception carrying a few bags (one at a time). Does anyone know if there's a limit on the distance I'm expected to cover?

I heard a similar situation in my office, the driver was told not to carry anything over weight and if he had to make extra trips so be it, if this makes the duty go over the duty time (which it did not) then it would be revised (yeahhh)

In other words you will be wasting your time but exhaust the system first before giving up.
