My office closes in July 2013 my age then will be still 54,but in the October i will be 55 so then able to get my pension in a VR package,will i lose this chance for the fact of less than 90 days or is there a policy for dealing with some one so near to getting his full VR pension package.I do not want to just get 2 years wages as a pay out if I could get my pension,is there a policy anyone knows of for dealing with someone in my position,I have worked at royal mail for over 35 years so feel I do not want to lose out so severely for the sake of less than a 3 month period

The way I understand it is you can take the VR package now and when you do turn 55 you can claim your pension
