Dear Colleagues

This LTB is issued further to Letter to Branches No’s 974/11 dated 17th November 2011 and LTB 1064/11 dated 16th December 2011.
It has been agreed with Royal Mail Operations HQ to undertake a joint review of the above and attached and input is invited from all Area Safety Representatives in particular those that have experienced severe weather and have had the opportunity to use the new Standard, arrangements and risk assessment. Similar feedback is being sought from management from all regions. This is the first review and we will be looking for any opportunities to make further improvements. All feedback will be welcome. We would appreciate any comments including information in relation to the positive aspects of the new process and risk assessment as well as any constructive criticism.

Please use the following email Stephen.z.white@royalmail.com to ensure the feedback reaches him. Re: Severe Weather H&S Standard & Joint Statement
With the poxy revisions going on just about now, and the absolutely atrocious walks being foisted on postal workers, I just want to kill somebody from RM/CWU management team whenever they have the absolute gall to talk about "caring" for our health & safety.
The inhuman w*****s we slave for, couldn't give a flying fook about our health & safety.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
