TNT Post opens Rugby maintenance facility

TNT Post has said that it is to open a 120,000 square foot vehicle maintenance unit in Rugby. The new facility will allow the firm to take care of its fleet and carry out repairs on trailers as well as providing a location where legal compliance inspections can be carried out once every ten weeks.
The Rugby facility will have four bays and will also cater to other businesses located within a 25-mile radius. Contracts for 350 vehicles have already been secured and large fleets are to be targeted as well as individual operators.

The workshop was in place when the firm established a Rugby base last year, but has only now become operational. New roles have been created for workers previously employed by the council.
