Anyone else been paid?

Post by matthewsm17t »

I received an email from payroll saying I would be paid 60% of what I am owed with no deductions over the weekend and - guess what? - i have been paid!

Deductions will be taken from the remaining 40%, they say.

Looks like they're getting there, slowly!

:d'oh! :d'oh! If they can work out what you are owed and give you 60% : surely they can work out what your are owed, the tax. N.I. contributions, any overpayment and can calculate the exact amoun they should pay you. Why do the work twice? :arrrghhh :arrrghhh :arrrghhh :arrrghhh

This is a pure guess, but now that the statements have been sent out, they are probably no longer ruining (oops, typing error, but it is more appropriate than running) their payroll system on a daily basis, so they will ensure that the various statutory deductions are calculated properly by putting the figures through a payroll run - and as statutory deductions will not be more than 40%, it ought to be a safe bet that a positive figure goes through BACS. But, then again, this is Angard we are discussing, so anything can happen! :whistle :pray
