Still awaiting pre xmas delivery!!!

Post by napkins »

Good evening

I am a bit worried as i have not received a package i am waiting for.

This was sent out to me on Monday 19th december 2011 unregistered (1st class) and yet to receive this!!! :mad

I know there has been xmas deliveries etc but just worried that it's been lost :cry

Is anyone else still waiting for mail pre xmas and is there a backlog?

Thanks.

No backlog that I'm aware of.

Was it personal or sent from a company? If the latter get in touch with them and they should chase it up/send replacement etc. if the former then it's about 2 weeks (working days) before you can stick a claim in, so next week get the ball rolling or get the sender to do it - does the sender have proof of posting?

It's personal mail. Will give it till next week and see if it's turned up

The sender does have proof of posting though.

It's 15 working days before RM will consider it a lost item. Once 15 working days are up, the sender can get a P58 form from the post office and put in a claim for the lost item... Hopefully it'll show up in the mean time.

I'm assuming it was addressed correctly using the postcode, correct postage and had a return address on it? If there was insufficient postage, it could be delayed for a few weeks while revenue protection are doing their thing, then you'll get a grey card asking you to pay the £1 charge and difference in postage.
