Hi guys, I am wanting to send a package from UK to South Korea but I'm not sure what the size and weight limits are for this using the international small packets service (or if this even the correct one to use)? I expect it to weigh between 1500g and 3000g and be 30cm * 30cm * 30cm. Also what forms will I need to include for customs etc?
Thanks very much for your help!

Re: International airmail packets weight/size?
Hi,
Maximum dimensions and weights can be found on the AirMail page on royalmail.com, but I have copied and pasted here for easy access (although the formatting has gone..):
Minimum size Maximum size
Letter or Packet One surface must be at least 90mm x 140mm Length, width and depth combined must not be greater than - 900mm
The greatest single dimension must not exceed - 600mm
Roll Length plus twice diameter - 170mm
Greatest single dimension - 100mm Length plus 2x diameter must not exceed - 1040mm.
Length must not be greater than - 900mm
Postcard 90mm x 140mm 120mm x 235mm
Small Packets can only be upto 2kg, but if they are Printed Papers (printed media etc), they can be upto 5kg I believe..
As regards customs declarations, if your package is worth under £270 you will need a "CN22 Customs Form", ask for one at the Post Office. If it's worth anymore, you need a CN23 Customs Form which is more comprehensive (not that i'd send anything more than that by AirMail!!).
I'm sure someone on here from a Post Office might be able to give you some more info.

Re: International airmail packets weight/size?
Thanks, that helps a lot and should be fine. Just out of interest, if I needed to send something larger/heavier would I need to use a different carrier?

If it can't be split into further into 2kg parcels, you will need to be looking at courier or ParcelForce.
I would reccomend to always pay a bit extra ontop of the AirMail cost to have it send International Signed For which has tracking in the UK and sometimes some also in the receiving country. Gives you a bit of reassurance that your package is on the way.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll use the International Signed For one. Thinking about it now, I should be able to limit it to under 2kg

Have a look at Parcel2Go's website if you can't split it...
Does this rag smell of chloroform to you?

I was going to mention that or similar sites, but I put in the weight and dimensions and south korea into the quote generator, and it came up with some rather ridiculous quotes..TeeferTiger wrote:Have a look at Parcel2Go's website if you can't split it...
