Hiya,

Just a quick question - does anyone know if mail from the Czech Republic to the UK is suffering from delays at this time of year?

Just trying to figure out if I might get the CDs I ordered (and posted a week ago) before Xmas...

if it was only posted a week ago then your chances are slim, going in the opposite direction from here to czech republic last recommended posting dates for xmas were airmail 12 december and surface mail 22nd november so assuming its the same for them to us it probable doesnt look likely

Thanks. It's not an Xmas present for anyone - just some discs that I've ordered for myself. Just looking forward to getting them, 'sall.

International airmail can be a funny thing. I won a second-hand CD on eBay from a seller in Hungary the other week - and it arrived two days after he posted it (just normal airmail). Go figure... :hmmmm

The other week,and a week ago are two major different things.
It will be delayed over there for a while 1st,then delayed over here for a while as well.
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

So... if my packet doesn't turn up tomorrow, how much longer do you reckon that I should give it before I get in touch with the seller?

How long did they say it would take to arrive? They usually give an estimated time for something to arrive, once it's gone past that time, then I'd start with the "dude, where's my stuff?" :Very Happy
Does this rag smell of chloroform to you?

Nope, this seller never did. Just an email to say that he'd posted my CDs on the 14th of December.

Haven't contacted him yet, as I wanted to give it plenty of time, with the Xmas post and all...

Give it a few more days then contact him, Everything should be pretty much sorted out by then I reckon.
