Deteriorating rapidly. I don't blame my colleagues, I blame the hierarchy, they change the goalposts all the time to suit the top brass.

a postman for twenty years but this means nothing anymore. no respect , no morale ,heavy deliveries and poor pay. shame the sad idiot penpushers have never broken a sweat in thier lives. i've no objection to appropriate modernisation but they seem to think everything can be reduced down to numbers and targets without having a clue as to what a labour intensive job it can be.
the human element has always been such an important part of this national institution. i guess thats why senior management go through the motions of acting as though they respect us, but its pathetically insincere and frankly insulting. they think we're labourers at the bottom of the pile and should be grateful for whatever crumbs we're offered and if you complain your singled out as a trouble maker. we are less than nothing to them.
they can happily sit on their fat arses knowing that the worse the job gets ( pay, conditions, cuts etc) the more people will consider leaving and that suits them just fine. thay will simply replace us with part time workers on minimum wage contracts who are happy to have a job and not bothered to be in the union.[/b]
