Hi,
I had a parcel sent to me on 4th November from Luxembourg. On 5th November it arrived at HWDC Langley.
Since then I've heard nothing. The sender of the parcel has made enquiries from his end but no joy.
I was hoping that it was just delayed for a little while and that it would sort itself out, but it's now been 6 weeks...
What's the next step?

Why do we have so many of these queries about this place?

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

If you have the tracking number try this page which gives you the whole history of the package on RM system http://www.royalmail.com/trackdetails" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.
You could also try the original postal companies website http://www.trackandtrace.lu/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; - although its not in english
Another avenue is to follow Royal Mail on Twitter and ask their advice - they are very proactive and get very good reviews. @RoyalMail

Hi Trueblue, thanks for your reply.
I've traced it via the Luxembourg site, that's how I know it's at Langley.
The Royal Mail site tells me there's no match for my tracking number, however.
I'll go down the Twitter route, thanks! :)

Update : Royal Mail Twitter tells me to assume it's lost, and the sender needs to submit a claim... will he be able to do that from Luxembourg? From what I read on the RM site they only accept claims when the parcel has been sent via a RM service (which it technically hasn't as far as I know, because it hasn't officially left Langley).

He'd put in a claim through his own postal service in Luxembourg. Just as if you'd sent something over there and it'd gone awol after leaving the UK, you'd still put in a claim against RM for the item.datpost wrote:Update : Royal Mail Twitter tells me to assume it's lost, and the sender needs to submit a claim... will he be able to do that from Luxembourg?
