Waiting list worries!!!!

Post by perrobach »

Hi everyone,
I'm a hopeful newbie. I had an interview/assessment last week which ( from what I though ) went really well. I thought the job was mine and that I would be starting a new postman role just after xmas......perfect. A few days later I got an email to say that I had passed the assessment but the position I was applying for wasn't available, but I would be put on a waiting list for three months. I'm just wondering if everyone goes onto the waiting list or did I do better than the others at the interview. I'm hoping that another role will become available soon so that I can jump on it.
Anyone with any knowledge of how the waiting list is organised and how it works?

Welcome mate, yes a few go on a waiting list,i think if you see other jobs advertised in your area you can apply for them, not 100% on that though.

Good luck.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

I got put on the waiting list for 3 months as well. There is still no suitable post available, can I possible to request to stay on the waiting for a longer period?

What number should I call or email? Thanks.
