Angard is a subsidiary of Royal Mail, that's why they use them. You're right, they are treating people digracefully. It's shameful!MitchWilkins wrote:Early shift. 6:30 1:30. Its horrible how they treat people. Royal Mail shold know better in employing an agency like this!kim_holt wrote:MitchWilkins,
which shift were you meant to be on? I was meant to be on the 14:00 to 22:00 shift and the RM management didnt seem to want to help us that much, let alone give us a phone number for Angard. I had to find it out myself from other people waiting and off this forum.

Re: SECURITY CHECKS PASSED...But still no word!
Anyone know the email address of Royal Mail`s HR Department (Sheffield was or is the main office I believe from previous years of doing Christmas Casual work), and the name of the person in charge? Whoever I spoke to add the end of Angard`s telephone line was telling a `lot of porkies` that I would be receiving an email and start date within 1 to 2 days, and that I had passed all vetting procedures as it is now way past that date. Contacted York Mail Centre`s staffing department and was talking to the person who knew me from previous years, and he checked all lists and couldn`t find my name and couldn`t also understand why I hadn`t started as in previous years. Are Argard just employing the `unemployed` and not bothering with those who have done the job previously and know the ropes? Re: email address of HR Department, if you know please email me. Many thanks.

Since receiving my email a few days ago, I've received 3 calls asking me if I'm still turning up on the 5th! 2 from the Local Royal mail centre and 1 from Angard. If I still get turned away after 3 people chasing me, I'll be fuming!blu-tac man wrote:If I was you, Jamesbcd, I'd ring the centre you're meant to be working in the day before you're meant to start (you can find the number online) and confirm with them they have you on the list, otherwise it'd be a wasted journey. That's what I'm going to do next Monday morning before my first shift, which is meant to be from 2pm that afternoon. And if I'm not on the list Angard/RM can stick their job.
