Admittedly it shouldn't be necessary to do this but could you try having them sent to a different address? Your place of work, perhaps.
Assuming that this is some distance from your parent's address this will be covered by a different postman and, most likely, a different Delivery Office.
If these then start getting through without any hitch then it suggests there is a problem that needs to be flagged up.

hi,time for an update.been away from worcester.was expecting 5 parcels with records when i went round to my parents,only 2 had arrived.3 more parcels have gone "missing".made all the phone calls to customer services,got the same stock reply,its not us its them.so thats it,20 years of collecting records via mail and i quit.my advice to any one else with the same problems with"missing" parcels is,dont bother,you wont get them back,royal mail wont help you.

Perhaps you need to report the local office to IB or higher up to see if you can get answer.
What you need to do is find out if the walk your parent's home have a regular post person and is it happens when he or she on duty or not. If is a problem with your parents area, you need to use alternative delivery point ideally with different office. Use your home / work / very reliable neighbour/friend address
